Autoantibodies in Graves' Disease	

Thyroid autoantibodies in Graves' disease react with three main autoantigens (Fig. 17.9): thyroglobulin; thyroid microsomes (now identified as the thyroid peroxidase (TPO) enzyme that is involved in
the biosynthesis of thyroid hormones); and the TSH-R. All of these autoantigens have been cloned.
